Into The Woods is a collection of all the fairytales most are familiar with, including Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding hood, and, lest we forget, The Butcher and his wife.
Being a Disney movie I automatically figured I would take my 5-year-old son to see it. From the previews, it seemed like something he might enjoy. My son and I saw Maleficent together at the theaters, and I figured it would be similar to that tale.
However, after reading the plot of Into The Woods I decided to go check it out before taking my son. I am so glad I did. This movie is NOT appropriate for children
It promotes adultery, stealing, cheating, death and lying. Without giving away too much of what actually happened, I suggest every parent to go to the website and read the plot to this movie first. There are no happy ending for any of the characters.
