Vampire need not … apply?

Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

4 Stars

This is the 4th book in a series, you have to read all the other books to understand this one or you’ll be lost.  I have already read and reviewed the other three books.

In this book, we are following Ixtab, the God of Suicide.  You will delve further into why she is called the God of Suicide, and what her tragedy was.  You will also be introduced to Dr. Antonio, a physicist.  Follow how his story unfolds, and what he has to do for the Gods.

Bare with the beginning of this book, it is a bit slow and sad, but we are talking about the God of Suicide.  Towards the middle of the book, we are introduced to a long-lost character for the first time and a new supernatural.

The ending of Vampires Need Not…Apply?: An Accidentally Yours Novel (The Accidentally Yours Series) Will put you on the edge of your seat waiting for the 5th and final book to come out.  You will want to know what happens next.

With all that said, I have to point out a big issue I had with this book.  I read it on my kindle, so I do not know how many pages this book actually has, but it is listed on Amazon.com as having 416 pages.

I have a hard time believing that. Since I read the entire book in a matter of a few hours.  Granted, I am a fast reader … but I am not that fast!

Here is the kicker! When I got to 89% on my kindle, the book ended! I kid you not!  Out of the last 20% of the book at least 17% of it was advertising for Mimi Jean Pamfloff’s other books.

I am disappointed that I paid $2.99 on a pre-order for a book that ended at 89% and that included a payment for advertisement for her other books I already read!

This fact will not keep me from buying the last book, since I have invested too much time and money on this series. I am not one to give up easily, so, stay tuned for my final review on the last book, when it comes out.
