Mimi Jean Pamfiloff
Bare with me, this is going to be a three for. I grabbed the book, “Accidentally Married to … A Vampire?” during a promotion for a reduced price. I read it, not realizing that it was the second book in a series. SO, with that explanation I am going to do something I have never done before and review all three of the books together; stay with me, there is a reason.
Book 1 Accidentally In Love With…A God? (The Accidentally Yours Series) is With a title like that who could resist picking it up and checking out the blurb about the book?
The story line is very consistent and flows nicely. She builds her characters to be “people” you would know in your own life, your friends, your sisters, or someone you went to school with. Mimi creates another part of this world long forgotten and mixes it well with the modern world. I bought this book after I read the second book because I had to know how this story started.
A side note by me: At the end of every good series is a little about the next book. Keeping in mind, I read book two, firs; so I know what happened in the next part of the story after finally reading book one. I found my new favorite quote:
“If you love her, set her free. If she comes back, she’s yours. If she doesn’t … Christ! Stubborn woman! Hunt her down, and bring her the hell back; she’s still yours according to vampire law”
-Niccolo DiConti, General of the Vampire Queen’s Army.
Who wouldn’t love that quote, really? Anyways, back to my reviews!
Book 2 is Accidentally Married to…A Vampire? (The Accidentally Yours Series). As you know, I picked this one up during a “lower price proceeds to help someone out” without knowing what I was buying or who the author is. (My good deed for the day, and what a good day it was!)
Mimi did a fantastic job with the flow from book one to book two. The author carried on with another aspect of the new world she is creating, bringing in new characters, but not forgetting old ones. You will be introduced to characters you will fall in love with, ones that will frustrate you to no ends, and ones you love to hate because they are evil reincarnated. I bought this book and book three as soon as I got done reading book two.
Book 3 Sun God Seeks…Surrogate? (The Accidentally Yours Series). You can see a pattern with the titles then you should know that the author, Mimi’s flow from one book to the next is flawless.
We can sorta guess where the other two books are going with the titles after you have read the stories then you think you know where book three is going. Hold on for the ride because there are multiple
meanings to the word surrogate and Mimi uses them all. This book has more twists and turns then any maze I’ve solved and will leave you begging for more.
I have already pre-ordered book 4 and book 5. Oh, another side note, read the entire book. This author’s humor isn’t only in the body of the story. She has a glossary at the end that is also funny, plus some hidden tests (you’ll know what I mean if you read these). Also, these books are a true series. After reading book 1 I understand book 2 better.
