There is a secret organization killing almost entire families while singling out one adult and one infant. These are brutal killings, so the government sends in a covert team, headed by Geogyn Kai. He is half-human, half-alien, and completely unpredictable.
I would say this novella, 164 pages, could be controversial. On one hand, you have a government trying to protect it’s people during hard times of pre-war. On the other hand, you have a group of religious people saying the killings are cleansing the world. Add in, Geogyn Kai who is working for the government but only because he is forced to do so.
The loss of starts (for me) is because I feel the author could have gone further with this story and make it a full novel. The second reason is because I believe that the novella is over priced.
The author gifted me The Final Option: A Science Fiction Novel about Armageddon in exchanged for an honest review.
